Westerly Library

This Civil War memorial library in Westerly RI, originally built in 1894, recently underwent a renovation and expansion designed by Tappe Associates. Whitney Veigas provided design/build services directly with the library.

The sign package included all of the base-building and code-required signage, as well library materials and wayfinding signs — stack end card holders, counter top category signs, directories, corridor directional signs, and a changeable exterior sign announcing hours and events sign.

We used the library logo as a background motif for the signs. Currently, we are working on designing and providing donor recognition plaques for the library.

LEED Educational Displays

We would like to remind our architect friends that one full point towards LEED certification can be obtained by including an educational display in the building describing the sustainable characteristics of the project.

This display can range from a simple framed poster to a more complex video presentation. No other aspect of signage can contribute more to the LEED certification of your building.
